Easter is the celebration for Jesus Christ’s which took place every year but many people still tells the story of betrayed to their children in order to tell how Jesus life was sacrifice. According to the bible Jesus was betrayed on Thursday during the last supper with his apostles. Jesus was betrayed during the dinner which took place between 11:00 pm to 12:00 am. After the meal was done the disciples went toward the Jerusalem as it was their favorite resting place. This place is called with the name “Garden Of Gethsemane” or the “Garden of Olives”. In order to get to this garden they use to pass from a north temple gate which was down to Kidron valley.
The garden was about 70 paces square according to the predications. There were 12 disciples with Jesus at that time among them Jesus ask only 4 to come with him to the garden. During this james was the one who betrayed him and knew that soon Jesus is going to die. He asks the 3 disciples to sit near the garden and he prayed for himself at the corner of the garden.
During the prayer Jesus ask God if he might have not been betrayed or killed by Judas. While he was praying he begins to sweat blood and was afraid. This was the time which Bible has also described that people started to call God as Jesus father. Jesus prayed third time while 3 disciples went to sleep after few hours Jesus knows that he might die in few minutes by Judas. After few hours he ask the disciples to keep eye on gate as he knew Judas are going to betray him.
Judas and Passover Meal
Judas left the Passover meal during the third blessing of cup which was about 9:00 pm. He went to the Jewish leader to tell where he can find Jesus. This was the time when Jesus was Betrayed by Judas. Other disciples were unaware about the facts that Judas is going to betrayed Jesus so they were discussing that they would go to garden for walk after the dinner is over. When Jewish leader know about the arrest he went to Caiaphas who was consider to be the high priest when to ask help from the Roman governor. Roman Governor called Ponius Pilate to ask him for arresting Jesus. Jesus didn’t like the Roman government as Jewish leader didn’t have the authority to pass the death sentence. Even if he had to he must be Roman first.
When Jesus was betrayed by Judas he was send to prison and was about to murder during the sunset which was on Friday. According to the Roman law no one can enter the temple when it was prayer time but Judas wanted to kill Jesus so he broke his own rules and arrested the Jesus. During this Peter which was one of the disciples cut the Malchus ear but still Jesus was arrested and was taken Caiaphas where his trails were started.
