Palm Sunday is an event which is celebrated by carrying the palms and other branches of trees. During this day Jesus enters Jerusalem before he was sentenced to death. In Belgium, people celebrate this day by sending their children door to door to collect coins in exchange for palms. Even they offer door service with the help of their children.
During the 17th centuries the Palm Sunday was marked as the day when the burning of Jack-o-Lent was performed. Also, this day is meant to take revenge on Judas who betrayed the Christ. People from England start the preparations during the winters which end on spring.
This is famous for dressing up the children in witches dresses. Children visit the people door to door and ask for the coins and delicious candy.
